Crosslands Mirror – Crosslands reserve
Myself and a few friends have recently taken on the challenge of The Great North Walk. Over the last few weeks we have started at Circular Quay and done it section by section. One day we did the Hornsby Fishponds to Berowra Sections. A subtle 25 kms all up was well enough for us Once-Were-Lads, with approximately 1500 vertical metres of elevation. We have decided that the collective term for ourselves should be ‘A Stumble of Hikers’. It’s a wonderful way to spend a few hours I must say, the terrain is just fabulous on those sections.
This image is taken beside the river in Crosslands Reserve in Berowra Valley National Park. I used the stillness of the water to increase the reflections element in the image. I have intentionally broken the Rule of Thirds to position the water line in the centre, and in this instance used a creative filter to give somewhat of an Oil-Painting effect.
