Spectate, Deerubbin, NSW – A Deerubbin Sunset
I hadn’t been back to Deerubbin for a while. Where? I hear you say? The Ruins, the boat ramp off the F3, whatever you want to call it. It’s just on the northern side of the Peats Ferry large bridge on the F3. You’ve seen it a million times without really seeing it – a story of most people’s busy lives these days. So I turned up for sunset on Sunday. As usual it was a mix of fishermen and boat launch people. I took a few frames, but this was the last. A Flock of Seagulls were hanging around ‘So I Ran…’ [oh dear, that is such a bad 80s pun] a few metres to include them in the frame, and they stayed there! It looked to all the world as though they were Spectating the last boat or so being landed onto the trailer. It was quite dark here, but a composite exposure brought out the details and colours nicely.
