Description
Golden McKell, Brooklyn, NSW
I love wandering around the Brooklyn NSW foreshore. All times of the day. With or without camera. But the highlight is always walking around the perimeter of the McKell Park baths.
This day was just a lovely sunrise. The Hawkesbury coming to life and the light levels rose. I had an idea for a photo. Could I grab a sunrise starburst, and but also do a long exposure on the water. The answer was Yes. I could.
So I made this image by combining two separate frames.
> One had the beautiful still water. Taken with a neutral density filter that allows a longer shutter time. With the golden reflections. And a burnt out sky!
> The other was carefully taken with a shorter exposure and using an F22 setting to get the sun starburst.
I hope you find this image as soothing and calming as I do.
