This was an infamous evening – I have shared the details on Social Media in the past… a shot from ‘that night’ where my filter came to grief. But such a great outcome, whew, only around a $100 rather than $1000 ++
The sky did many things that night, and in many directions. I had previously run around to find a composition in other directions, toward the bridge. But!!! – I did indeed find a good composition when the sky fire was as its peak. That peak was soooo brief! And this is it. Nice!
All those composition elements I had been gathering and discarding in the previous 20 minutes or so. My Deerubbin Dreams indeed!
And as always, I kept on shooting until you can hardly see anything. However, this was the hero. And the mossies and sandflies enjoyed it just as much as I did.
