Description
Dawn Canvas, Berowra, NSW
I had all sorts of pre-planned ideas on this morning. Pre-planning is OK but this area is a fair walk into the bush tracks. And almost none of my ideas happened! Ah, landscape photography! Let’s see, I arrived a little too late for the main burst of colour. And the colour was in the wrong place. I arrived too early for the bulk of the mist. And the mist was really too far away. When the mist did arrive, the sun was getting quite high in the sky. As such, I went for a painterly approach with a little soft focus. A sunrise with a real Dawn Canvas approach that a painter would produce, easel on stand!
Interesting fact – very few Berowra escarpments face East. This is the only one I have found.
Please note – this image is a 5 to 4 ratio, rather than 3 to 2. As such it is similar to those prints that will fit a 10×8 frame (NOT a 12×8 frame). Etc. Please email me if this is confusing!
