Description
Big Sky, Berowra, NSW
Just a typical Thursday evening. I had just enjoyed an early dinner, and watched the sun set into quite a large bank of cloud on the horizon. We had recently had a good run of colour, so I bet on it. Let’s see….
- Shoes on and load bag into car (tripod always in boot) – 2 minutes
- Drive time – 2 minutes
- Gear out of, and lock car – 90 secs – colour starting to form
- Walk 90 secs to escarpment – releasing/extending tripod legs whilst trying not to trip over – colour quite definite
- Level tripod legs 30 secs and attach camera and level camera – 30 sec – yep we ARE GOOD TO GO in the sky
- Composition 1 – FAIL / composition 2 sorted!!!
- 5 minutes later – no colour left in sky ( I took another three not-quite-good-enough compositions as the colour moved around)
- 5 more minutes- no second colouring, time to leave.
Did anyone notice when I put on the mossies cream? No, nor did I.
