Description
Mooney Morning, Mooney Mooney, NSW
I made this photograph after a period of ‘drought’. No rains? No, the almost total absence of high cloud one autumn.
But this day was different. There was a little high cloud forecast, it wasn’t brilliant, but I thought I’d give it a go.
Usual story (do what I say not as I do), I left a bit later than I should have done. So I pulled up on my way to where I was planning to go and took this photo. If I’d kept going obviously the colour would have completely disappeared when I got to my destination. Go figure.
I don’t often use wild grass (weeds!) as a foreground but the look was very fluffy and quite atmospheric. It set off the image with a nice foreground line. Go that sky!
