Description
What can I say? See oddity happening, lock in tripod firmly, take picture, can’t believe how it comes out!!! Let me tell you what was happening here. The waves were breaking hard against a rock ledge. The angled ledge had its highest side at the water’s edge and then sloped downward away from the sea – toward the beach. Thus water was flowing down the rock ledge after the crashing waves had supplied the flow, rushing away from the sea. It then flowed onto the beach, around the side of the rock ledge, before flowing out back out to sea again, and it was almost a constant waterfall.
It was an amazing machine-like situation. The small white line in the background is the local blow hole, which added to the surreal feeling of this shot. Add a beautiful magenta sky, and there you have it.
