Description
As I have learned the art of photography over the years, I have also learned the ‘Art of Sunsets’ – that is, looking at the sky during the day, and working out the likelihood of a good sunset. On this day it looked good, so I made the drive to the coast. The Spoon Bay beach is angled North-East to South-West, and thus at this time of year will yield a sunset over the sea even though we are on the East coast. In this instance, the sky was colourful enough to take pictures of the traditional sunset area, this one looking toward the Terrigal end of the beach, but also out to sea, and to the north. A true sensation overload – no sooner had I taken one composition looking in one direction, than I would look in another, and the ever changing light had painted the sky differently. If only all my problems in my day to day life were so enjoyable!! It was a truly magical moment. The careful viewer will be able to make out (albeit pixelated at this resolution) why I have titled the picture as I have. Everyone has their own way of enjoying such wonder in nature.
