Description
Turner Fire Trail sunset.
This shot nearly did not happen. Like anything else in life, it’s very easy to do nothing or not take a chance. I could tell the clouds were in the right position but the usual bank of cloud on the horizon to the West suggested it would be very unlikely to ‘glow’. As the sun started dipping, the bank of cloud to the West started to move. And so did I !!! Tripod, camera bag and me in the car without delay, to drive to the edge of the bush, and then a 5-10 minute walk to find a spot to overlook the valley. I made it as the glow started, and just got the camera set up in time.
The moral of the story? Take a chance… do it… great results do not happen without effort. In photography or anything else.
PS. I then had to stumble out of the thick bush in the pitch black. Out of the Turner Fire Trail back to the bitumen. I’ll leave you work out what I am going to pack next time.
