I had my eye on photographing this bay for a while, and on the day I could tell that a good sunset was coming, with much high cloud. So I decided to make the drive out and arrived just(! – the keen reader might be seeing a pattern here with my timekeeping) as the sun had set. Cue the afterglow of the rays on the clouds all round. I took many angles, and other shots will follow, but what drew me to this shot was the calming colours of the magenta last rays on the cloud, and the contrast of the power of the waves beating against the rocks, with no rest for them as day turned into night.
