Description
This is a much photographed spot. I arrived one evening hoping for a show from the clouds, but no go, by the time I had driven the hour or so from home the weather had changed to a fully clear sky. I decided to hang around, and was rewarded with a classic pink afterglow. It actually turned out to look very much like the pink glow that slide film is known to give, but you do not usually get from a digital capture. A slow shutter speed calmed, but didn’t flatten completely, the wave movement. Have to say I was quite happy with this take, at least until the next attempt. An aside! Just as I was taking this shot beside the road, I heard a voice “got any good shots mate???”. Well, I was very engrossed with the viewfinder (I usually am) and thought it was someone unknown who was just passing time and pleasantries. No, it was one of my mates from Berowra out for a drive with his father. Small world!
