Somersby Wall of Water – a Somersby Flood

It seems I am attracted to getting soaked in the name of art. A recent deluge had made me consider that local falls would be pumping. And pumping Somersby was! I attempted to get down to the lower levels, but knee deep fast flowing water across the footpath made me re-consider. And this was at the higher levels. With the valley funnel effect I cannot think how much water would be flowing beneath. This was taken with the lens facing down, and I really need to shoot from under an umbrella next time to allow me to take more shots before the lens gets too wet despite cleaning cloths.

The image doesn’t really convey just how much water was flowing and the noise, but it was great fun, and once again a complete change of clothes in the car was a good bet! A two-image stitch 0.8 seconds F11.
