Description
A ‘classic’ shot, but not one I had taken before. We often go to the Skillion, and it is a favourite place to take overseas visitors. Why not? It’s a hugely impressive cauldron of rock on two sides, and the waves crash spectacularly most of the time, and the blue seas are most inviting. So, I had to ask myself, why I, as a photographer, had not taken one decent, or proper, picture of this rock in twenty five years of being in Oz? There was no answer, so, just do It! Sometimes the obvious is right in front of us, every day in life. Photographically…. This is actually a two image stitch, and not that easy to get right with waves crashing, but I took several frames and chose and stitched two together that matched. I’m happy.
