Picnic Tide, Bobbin Head Picnic Area, NSW
I just love King Tides. Because they turn the Ordinary into the Extra-ordinary with just a few extra inches of water. In this instance it was only the raised bank between the bay and the picnic area that was not flooded. The picnic hut roofs reflected red off the floodwaters, and a long-ish exposure flattened out some of the ripples.
The palm tree gives an island-feel. The water is deep blue. In addition, the amazing clouds added to the other-worldliness of the whole scene. The icing on the cake for this Landscape Photographer! Enjoy your picnic!
