Australia Milky Way – Captains Log; Star Date May2025.

Sometimes you take an image and it doesn’t matter where it is, it just looks like somewhere else. This planet or another? I think I have taken that to the extreme with this image. What are all the coloured elements? Is there a hole in the Earth or a hole in another planet? A Black Hole? A Revelation?* Where am I looking at the Milky Way from? Which Planet?

Of course the answers to these questions will probably be the obvious ones but isn’t it nice to suspend belief every now and again as a photographer. Painters can do it all the time, but can we?
