I have been close to this spot many times, as I take my daily walk around Berowra, but never close enough. On one of the recent sunsets I ventured off the beaten track, just for a couple of minutes, along a defined but poorly maintained track. Whenever you venture off the beaten track in life, you are generally rewarded, and on this instance it was no exception. A beautiful clump of young grass trees growing amongst a few gums on some most – to my untrained eye – unhospitable terrain. Add in a valley, lovely rocks, a sunset forming, and you have an image that sums up the wonderful bush surroundings of Berowra, my home town.
