Description
I love winter light. It’s much less harsh than in summer, especially during the middle of the day, and there is a certain warmth to it. I had driven to Kuring-gai Chase National Park for an afternoon walk, and had taken my camera on the off-chance, although no tripod. Let’s see, my camera and lens weigh around 3kg, even out of bag, so if you want to go for a wander then it all adds up quickly. I saw this scene present itself in front of me, which I saw as a ‘must-take’. It looks so inviting, and almost fjord-like. I was very surprised when I Googled images for ‘Bobbin Head Marina’, that there are very few images with this look and feel. I took a two image stitch with a wide angle, and this was the result.
It’s just wonderful to have scenes like this right on our doorstep.
