Dreamy Sunset – DreamSet, Berowra, NSW
For this image … I drove the 500m (long drive!) to my favourite well-off-piste sunset spot, and set up. Right on the edge of the escarpment.
I actually arrived for once with enough time to find a very different angle. I would have shot from this spot dozens of times. Never though with light this good (probably why you may never have seen this angle as I haven’t posted them). And maybe never at this time for year, when the sun sets at this angle aligned to the trees. Doing landscape photography (or nature photography) it’s really worth learning your favourite spots so you can get to their best locations quickly. That way you get to know the area well enough that you know how the light falls. It’s a blend – you can see the foliage moving but the tree branches are still. Looked quite dreamy to me, hence the title.
