Description
I have walked past Dangar Island many times. My intention was to grab a shot that was a ‘proper photo’ in terms of composition rather than just a blue water / blue sky image with no foreground. I noticed the concrete ramp as I had walked past many times. It looked quite photogenic as foreground. I approached one day to find that whilst all the elements of the image were there, it was far too low tide and the foreground was just mud. So I walked on.
Luckily I returned another day at just the right tide with just the ‘right kind’ of high cloud. Oh, and then a boat sailed past at just the right time. The elements all came together in the final image, which is so obviously Dangar, Brooklyn, Hawkesbury.
