Berowra Heights Sunset – Cloudaway
The sun sets to the west over Berowra Heights.
I had been watching the cloud forecast most of the day. There was also a beautiful high shelf of cloud that I knew would make for a wonderful display of colours come sunset. So I decided that I would make sure I planned well, arrived early. And because it was such a certainty, I would walk much further into the bush. I parked up at the North end of Berowra Heights, and took the Turner Road Fire Trail into Berowra Valley National park. As I walked, the clouds were high above, shining white, and there was the obligatory gap to the west. Still good!
I arrived at the rocks I had planned to, and noticed that the cloud had started to dissipate. Never mind – plenty still left, and erm, around 20 minutes to sundown…
And so it continued. This was taken as part of a series as the sun descended, and is the last usable image with any cloud. A couple of minutes later there was no cloud at all!
There will more Berowra Heights Sunset images to come – I am sure!
