Cloud Curtains, Berowra, NSW
Well aren’t there just advantages of overlooking the bush from your balcony? Light like this happens once in a Blue Moon. When it happens, it also goes as fast as it appears. So I was pottering around at home and noted that there was a gap in the clouds. Not too special to start with, and also quite a way away. My curiosity eventually got the better of me and I grabbed the telephoto. Well, that worked well! The fan shaped light initially was over to the side of the dip in the valley, but as the clouds were moving so fast, the shape changes over a period of no more than five minutes, and then it was gone.
I used a little Nik HDR to pump and emphasise the shape of the streaming light. I really thought it looked like curtains…
