Description
Another starry night, another sojourn for me. I wandered into the bush along the Turner Road fire trail, and as the careful reader will know by now, staying on the trail was the last thing on my mind. It went something like, walk along the trail, head torch in place, until I came to the marker tree that I find once in five attempts, then turn sharp left into the impenetrable bush with the nice spiky leaves until I come to the edge of the escarpment with a sheer fall below me. There must be easier things to do on a cold weekday night well after dark. Why can’t I watch soap opera re-runs instead? I won’t answer that 🙂
As you can see, it was windy, but it didn’t quite realise just how fabulous the wind would make the final image until after I got home. Checking the viewfinder with Astro photos tends not to give away too much – it’s all too dark. I painted the foliage with iPhone to lighten it, but it didn’t freeze the branches.
